The Case Hill Road Bridge to Route 357 stretch of Treadwell Creek is 5.2 miles long and is a class I-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful New York scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile.
The put-in location is a short drive from Oneonta, as you can see on the road map further down. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Treadwell Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling
sections, the Case Hill Road Bridge to Route 357 section is the only one. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The beautiful Catskill Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Whitewater rafting

driest of the months is February. Summer at Treadwell Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Treadwell Creek dip into the 10's.
