The Ohio Gorge stretch of West Canada Creek in New York is 1.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The beauty of the Adirondack Mountains is a great plus for this river. The campgrounds here at West Canada Creek are pretty good. The Ohio Gorge section is one of many paddling sections     in this river system. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
