This stretch of West Kill River in Greene County is 7.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels     nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The Catskill Mountains scenery is wonderful. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Albinos Pizzeria to Schoharie Creek section is one of them. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip.
