New York whitewater, Wolf Creek

Eddy Creek Road to Stony Creek Road bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS III+     3 miles
If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The beautiful scenery of New York and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but
if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. There's camping available near Wolf Creek. This is the
only paddling section along Wolf Creek. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. The Eddy Creek Road to Stony Creek Road bridge section of Wolf Creek in New York is 3 miles long and is a class III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beautiful Adirondack Mountains scenery is an added bonus.
