The scenic beauty of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations     in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is the only paddling section along Woodhull Creek. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. Whitewater paddling here in the Adirondack Mountains is a great experience. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Utica-Rome, as you can see on the road map further down. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: Woodhull Creek is a reasonably wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike along the Stone Dam Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of   this region.
