The NPS Campground to Confluence with Big Pigeon section of Big Creek in North Carolina is 2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV section. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. Briefly about the general area: Davenport Gap is near Big Creek and   is undeniably a good site to stop at, and you can go for a hike on the Baxter Creek Trail.
