The to Green River section of Cove Creek in North Carolina is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. This is the only paddling     stretch along Cove Creek. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the months of summer at Cove Creek highs are generally in the 80's; the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. The high level of precipitation makes Cove Creek a rather wet location; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is January.
