The Base of Cullasaja Falls to Peeks Creek Bridge stretch of Cullasaja River is 2 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be
prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers
in this state are less demanding. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The nature scenery of North Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything.

40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Cullasaja River. Cullasaja River is a reasonably wet place generally with much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest month of the year is October.
