Whitewater rafting and kayaking in North Carolina is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. The Peaceful Cove Road to Fulton Road stretch of Cullasaja River is 3.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,      around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Peaceful Cove Road to Fulton Road section is just one of them. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: At Cullasaja River during the summertime highs are in the 80's, and the night is quite colder of course, typically in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the   20's overnight here at Cullasaja River. Cullasaja River is a relatively wet place mostly with a large amount of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
