The natural beauty of Macon County and the water flowing gracefully down Cullasaja River have people coming here. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. When you're paddling down a Blue Ridge Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. There's camping available near Cullasaja River. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Peaceful Cove     Road to Fulton Road section is just one of them. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: At Cullasaja River through the summertime highs are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Cullasaja River. Cullasaja River is a wet place that   gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is October.
