The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Asheville, as you can see on the road map further down. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in North Carolina are often more forgiving than in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.
