If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside North Carolina you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother
nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short
distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Forest City, as you can see on the road map further down. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
