The scenic beauty of Henderson County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This stretch of Green River in North Carolina is 1.2 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery.
| If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
