Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Bynum to Highway 64 section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Briefly about the general area: During the summer at Haw River highs are typically in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Haw River sink into the 20's. The high   level of rainfall makes Haw River a rather wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain while September is frequently the driest month.
