The Linville Falls to Lake James section of Linville River is 16.4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V+ section of whitewater. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: At Linville River all through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. During the wintertime   this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Linville River plunge into the 10's.
