The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in North Carolina are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This section of Little River in Moore/Hoke/Cumberland County is 8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. The natural beauty of North Carolina and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons     enough to come here to paddle. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good spots for that around here. The Morrison Bridge to Ft.Bragg section is the only paddling section along Little River. Briefly about the general area: Summer at Little River comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows at Little River through the wintertime frequently dip into the 20's.
