The starting location is a short drive from Fayetteville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Little River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Morrison Bridge to Ft.Bragg stretch is the only one. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels     nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The average North Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less demanding. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The nature scenery of Moore/Hoke/Cumberland County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Little River gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and April meanwhile   is the driest month. High temperatures at Little River all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Little River are in the 20's.
