The scenic beauty of North Carolina and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. This is an extremely short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The Base of Triple Falls to Hooker Falls section is one of a few paddling sections     in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great plus for this river. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The average North Carolina whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The put-in location is a short drive from Brevard, as you can see on the road map further down. Briefly about the general area: Little River gets a lot of water; during the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October is when it's the driest.   So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too nice to be true. For the duration of the months of summer at Little River temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little River. It's always splendid to pop by Triple Falls, and Hooker Falls is a nice local attraction.
