The Triple Falls section of Little River is 0.75 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Triple Falls stretch is one of them. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in     North Carolina is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This is a very short section so no need to bring snacks. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The nature scenery of Transylvania County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: At Little River during the warm months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows   in the 20's to Little River. Little River generally gets a great deal of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Triple Falls; The Nooks is something you shouldn't miss if you're here. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
