The scenic beauty of Transylvania County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a very short section so no need to bring snacks. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming     from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The put-in location is a short drive from Brevard, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The Triple Falls stretch of Little River in North Carolina is 0.75 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Briefly about the general area: All through the warmest time of the year at Little River temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs   in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little River. A tour to High Falls will fill your spirit with fine feelings; you simply must stop at The Nooks while you're here at Little River. Little River generally gets a good deal of precipitation; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is when it's the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't leave Little River without first paying a visit to Triple Falls.
