The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Brevard, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The Triple Falls stretch of Little River in Transylvania County is 0.75 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some     time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This is a very short section so no need to bring snacks. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. There's camping available near Little River. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside North Carolina you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. Briefly about the general area: Summer brings highs in the 80's to Little River. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures   sink down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Little River dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. All year is a magnificent time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you go for the outdoors. A short tour to High Falls is always worthwhile. Little River is a rather wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; during March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Triple Falls is a striking spot to pop by while you're at Little River, and The Nooks is an attention-grabbing site to visit while at Little River.
