The starting location is a short drive from Brevard, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd
better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Looking Glass Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Along Highway 278 section is the only one. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for
lots of people. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is wonderful. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers.
