moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater
rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The wild scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains is great. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other
states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy.

Nantahala River gets much water; July is the wettest month with most rain while October is usually the driest month. A river like this is too good to miss.
