The wonderful North Carolina scenery and the cool fresh water have people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. you come because it is a very popular destination. This section of Pigeon River - East Fork is 8.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Whitewater paddling here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip.
