Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of North Carolina and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. Getting a good workout     and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Rocky River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Route 1440 Bridge to US Route 52 Bridge section is the only one. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camp stove too.
