This stretch of Scotts Creek in Jackson County is 2 miles long and is a class III-IV(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Jackson County and the water flowing gracefully down Scotts Creek will make you feel great. If you're coming from Brevard it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further
down the page so you won’t get lost. The campgrounds here at Scotts Creek are pretty good. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater paddling
here in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. There are no other sections to paddle along Scotts Creek than the Willets-Ochre Hill to Addie section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
