  The Route 1164 Bridge to Dam at Plumtree stretch of Toe River - North in North Carolina is 8.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The wonderful North Carolina scenery and the cool fresh water beats anything. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The river winds through the
    Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. The campgrounds here at Toe River - North are pretty good. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you donít
have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are no other stretches to paddle along Toe River - North than the Route 1164 Bridge to Dam at Plumtree stretch. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding.
