The campgrounds here at Walnut Creek are pretty good. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here
a bit more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. Walnut Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the US 25/70 to Barnard stretch is the only one. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great
reasons to come. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is wonderful. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots.
