drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is the only paddling section along Walnut Creek. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains scenery
is an added bonus. The scenic beauty of Madison County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more.
