Briefly about the general area: That right there is loads of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Summertime highs at Wilson Creek
commonly tend to be in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Wilson Creek temperatures sink to the 10's. The high level of precipitation makes Wilson
Creek a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls during May, and December is the month with the least moisture. Hiking along the Yancey Ridge Trail is pleasant fun, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail.
