This section of Chagrin River in Lake County is 7.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I section. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. The nature scenery of Ohio and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whitewater rafting and kayaking     in Ohio is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came.
