The scenic beauty of Summit / Cuyahoga County and the water flowing gracefully down Cuyahoga River beats anything. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Ohio are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors     have people coming from far and near. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The put-in is not too far from Akron, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Briefly about the general area: The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Buttermilk Falls. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Cuyahoga River get into the 80's, and   during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Cuyahoga River tend to be in the 10's. The yearly rain here at Cuyahoga River is about average; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Very pretty scenery and good skiing is what you get at Boston Mills, and Brandywine Falls is an inspiring site to check out during your stay.
