Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Ohio is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. The wonderful Ohio scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Lee's Creek have people coming here. The put-in is not too far from Washington, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You might be into whitewater     rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. Lee's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Rt. 28 to Rattlesnake Creek section is the only one. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Lee's Creek is a good spot of normal rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January is when it's the driest. For the period of the summertime months highs here   at Lee's Creek reach the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Lee's Creek through the winter frequently fall into the 10's.
