Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Ohio tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The nature scenery of Ohio and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.     Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The starting location is a reasonable drive from East Liverpool-Salem, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. Briefly about the general area: Little Beaver Creek is right by the Pine Ridge Trail, and hiking along the Dogwood Trail is glorious fun. Throughout the warmest time of   the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Little Beaver Creek with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Little Beaver Creek. Little Beaver Creek gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and January is the month with the least moisture.
