The put-in is not too far from Cincinnati-Middletown, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.     Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Kelly Nature Preserve to St Route 126 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Little Miami River. This is an extremely short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This section of Little Miami River in Ohio is 0.5 miles long and is a class I section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Little Miami River. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Little Miami River.
