The Wilberforce stretch of Massie's Creek in Ohio is 0.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Massie's Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Wilberforce stretch is the only one. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: A typical amount of rain falls here at Massie's Creek; the   month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. Going for a hike on the Orton Memorial Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and there are pleasant places to explore along the South Gorge Trail. Through the summer highs here at Massie's Creek get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Massie's Creek.
