Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Ohio is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The beautiful scenery of unknown County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are some good sections to paddle in this river     system, the Grand Rapids section is one of them. This is a somewhat short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers.
