This section of Olentangy River in Ohio is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Ohio scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Ohio you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as
elsewhere. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. No shortage of good hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance
to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. If you're coming from Columbus it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The Delaware Recycling Plant to Chapman Road pull-off stretch is the only paddling stretch along Olentangy River.
