The put-in location is a short drive from Columbus, as you can see on the road map further down. The Delaware Recycling Plant to Chapman Road pull-off section of Olentangy River in Delaware County is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Ohio is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable
for beginners. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other spots. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available

Olentangy River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Delaware Recycling Plant to Chapman Road pull-off stretch is the only one. The natural beauty of Ohio and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
