The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Chillicothe, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other     states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. Paint Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Paint Creek Reservoir to Route 41 Bridge stretch is the only one. The beautiful scenery of Ohio and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile.
