Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There are some good hotels near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch of Sandusky River in Wyandot/ Seneca County is 0.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II(III) section. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both,     doesn't matter, around here you won't find a large number of other places. This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. If you're coming from Fremont it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The Ballville Dam to golf course section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
