Second Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the State Route 132 to Confluence with Todd's Fork stretch is the only one. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with     mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Wilmington, as you can see on the road map further down.
