Ohio whitewater - Stonelick Creek, Clermont County Clermont county, St. Route 131 to St. Route 132 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS III-IV     4.5 miles   The St. Route 131 to St. Route 132 section of Stonelick Creek in Clermont County is 4.5 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Ohio scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This is the only paddling section along Stonelick Creek. There's camping available near Stonelick Creek. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Ohio are easier than the national norm, so     if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The starting point is not too far from Cincinnati-Middletown, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. Briefly about the general area: At Stonelick Creek throughout the summer highs are in the 80's; the overnight is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Stonelick Creek. There's great   hiking along the Beechtree Trail. Stonelick Creek is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
