The put-in location is a short drive from Cleveland-Elyria-Mentor, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The beautiful scenery of Cuyahoga County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Pleasant Valley to Tinker's reservation section is the only paddling section along     Tinker's Creek. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. No shortage of good hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Through the days of summer at Tinker's Creek highs are typically in the 80's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter   temperatures at Tinker's Creek descend into the 10's. Great Falls is a glorious local attraction. The amount of rain that falls at Tinker's Creek is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is June; January is when it's the driest. It's always perfect to pop by Bridal Veil Falls, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Brandywine while you're here.
