The beautiful scenery of Brown County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. The White Oak Valley Road to Georgetown Dam stretch of White Oak Creek is 7.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated     and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The average Ohio whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. White Oak Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the White Oak Valley Road to Georgetown Dam stretch is the only one.
