The wonderful Delaware County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Flint Creek beats anything. The US 412 to Fidler's Bend stretch of Flint Creek in Delaware County is 1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II(IV) section of whitewater. This section is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The nearby hotels     are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Flint Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the US 412 to Fidler's Bend stretch is the only one. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. The starting location is a short drive from Tahlequah, as you can see on the road map further down. When you're paddling down a Ozarks river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: No need to travel far to visit interesting stuff like Fidlers Bend, and Fivemile Hollow is a good   site to spend some time. The warmest time of the year at Flint Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Flint Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ozarks. Flint Creek gets a large amount of water; September is the month that gets the most rain; January is the month with the least moisture.
