CLASS II 40 miles
This stretch of Little River is 40 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The scenic beauty of Oklahoma and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oklahoma is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. Now this is a pretty long section,
so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The wild scenery of the Ouachita Mountains is great. If you're a camper
you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Little River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Honobia to Cloudy Road section is the only one. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
