The natural beauty of Oklahoma and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oklahoma are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. The campgrounds here at Outlaw Creek are pretty good. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers
for that. This stretch is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This section of Outlaw Creek is 1.25 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater paddling here in the Ouachita
Mountains is a great experience. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Outlaw Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Broken Bow spillway to Mountain Fork River section is the only one.
