The scenic beauty of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. This stretch of Abiqua Creek is 7.5 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one,     but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Abiqua Falls to Abiqua Road stretch is the only paddling stretch along Abiqua Creek. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the warm days of summer here at Abiqua Creek, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Abiqua Creek are in the 30's.
