The nature scenery of Benton/ Lincoln County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater paddling here in the Coast Ranges is a great experience. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section of Alsea River - North Fork in Oregon is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V+ section of whitewater.
    You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting
your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving.
