This section of Alsea River - North Fork is 6.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. The wonderful Oregon scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. There's camping available near Alsea River - North Fork. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.
There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Three Miles below Klickitat Lake to North Fork Bridge stretch is just one of many. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. Getting your
paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The beautiful Coast Ranges scenery is an added bonus. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're coming from Corvallis it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down.
