  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Corvallis, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The scenic beauty of Benton County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people
    coming here. There's camping available near Alsea River - North Fork. The North Fork Bridge to Mill Creek Park section of Alsea River - North Fork in Benton County is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class I section
by American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. The North Fork Bridge to Mill Creek Park section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The wild scenery of the Coast Ranges is great. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great  
attractions for lots of people. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that.

You're sure to stumble upon some wonderful people from Alsea here, and a short visit to Cathcart Springs is always worthwhile. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Coast Ranges. Don't leave Alsea River - North Fork without popping by Ellmaker State Park. High temperatures at Alsea River - North Fork through the warm months are in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's.
