The wonderful Oregon scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Blue River will make you feel great. The river winds through the Central Cascade Range and you get great scenery. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking     spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Blue River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Quentin Creek to Blue River Reservoir stretch is the only one. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. Briefly about the general area: Blue River sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Throughout the summertime highs here at Blue River reach the 70's with nighttime   lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Blue River drop into the 30's.
