The nature scenery of Oregon and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations
you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general
area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Cleator Bend Campground to Detroit Lake stretch of Breitenbush River is 8.2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV section of whitewater.
