CLASS IV-V     4.5 miles
The natural beauty of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Parker Falls to Champion Creek section is one of them. This stretch is mid length, it's good length for a morning trip. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. Since
you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might
find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The beautiful Central Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.

The high level of rain makes Brice Creek a quite wet place; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Through the summer here at Brice Creek, high temperatures regularly

get into the 70's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, typically in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Brice Creek dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
Lots of fun awaits you along this river. A trip to Hotel Spring will fill your spirit with perfect feelings, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Steamboat Trail. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. It's always tremendous to stop by Smith Falls; on a great day you can take a hike along the Mayflower Trail.
