The Confluence with Pass Creek to Steamboat Creek stretch of Canyon Creek in Oregon is 9 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The scenic beauty of Oregon and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem
but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There are no other sections to paddle along Canyon Creek than the Confluence with Pass Creek to Steamboat Creek section. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. The campgrounds here at Canyon Creek are pretty good.

Creek is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Central Cascade Range.
