The Gorge 1 mile above Brice Creek to Brice Creek stretch of Champion Creek is 1.1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. The wonderful Lane County scenery and the playfulness of the water beats anything. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This is a very short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The beauty of the Central Cascade Range
is a great plus for this river. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number
of good places. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There's camping available near Champion Creek. This is the only paddling stretch along Champion Creek.

the most rain here; July on the other hand is the driest. This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors cool things. Put some time aside to spend at Hotel Spring while you're here at Champion Creek; hiking along the Mayflower Trail is magnificent fun.
